REVIEW: Blushing Beauty Lick My Lips Color-Changing Lip Balm

I first got this color-changing lip balm after winning the SkinStation raffle during the Blogapalooza event last May 21.

This was a perfect timing since I run out of lip balm during that time and was only using a petroleum jelly under my lippy (haha!). My lips tends to become chappy that I cannot wear matte lipsticks without a lip balm or something to moisten it.

After getting this product, I was so eager to try this on and it has been two months now since I started using it. So, I think it's about time to make a review.

Buffalo Wild Wings at Estancia Mall

July 17, 2016 - Me and my college friends decided to meet for some chitchat and bonding time. Our dear friend Weng of Walk With Miss Piggy was generous enough to pick us up. She usually do this to bring us together (advantage of having a friend with a car).

We headed to Pasig to look for a place and we had a hard time deciding on where to spend the evening. After few swivels around, we ended up in Buffalo Wild Wings at Estancia Mall.

Buffalo Wild Wings

The place wasn't crowded during that time, I guess because it was a Sunday night. Most of the customers were Americans which is not surprising since the store originated from the U.S.

Buffalo Wild Wings
The place is spacious, it looks fun and lively.

Buffalo Wild Wings

The yellow theme makes it look vibrant!

Buffalo Wild Wings

You can also see different TV screens around where you can watch live sports while munching food.

Buffalo Wild Wings

For the menu, they served chicken wings, shareable sandwiches, burgers and other pica-pica.

Here's what i ordered:

Buffalo Wild Wings
Blackened Chicken Sandwhich, Php 395
Honestly, i didn't know that it was spicy. I guess the term "black" refers to pepper (first-timer, haha!). Nevertheless, i managed to eat it. Also, the fries on the side is too salty for my taste buds.

Here are what my friends ordered:

Buffalo Wild Wings
Cheeseburger Slammers, Php 475
Buffalo Wild Wings
Half Time Chicken, Php 395
Buffalo Wild Wings
Pepper Jack Steak Wrap, Php 495

Overall, the serving is good here, although the price is a bit steeper. My friends' favorite was the half time chicken. I wasn't able to taste it myself since i was so full. We were also not able to try their pride of hand spun wings (too bad!).

While we were in the middle of devouring our food, the Manager approached us and asked how's the food and the service so far. She also asked if there's anything we need. For me, this is a plus point, it only shows how they value customer service and experience.

If you are a sports enthusiast, this is a good place for you and your friends. However, if you are among us who just want endless talks, it isn't a good place. Sometimes the monitors and the sound are distracting, i wonder how noisy this place can get when it's packed.

Buffalo Wild Wings

On a different note, our main purpose is not really to try new food (it just so happened!) but to have a good conversation, and you can have a good conversation regardless of where you are, what food you eat. I'm happy to see these ladies and misses the rest.

I came in late since I cannot leave my kids without hubby. Unfortunately, I missed the blessings, ribbon cutting and the candy/coin shower (sigh). Thankfully, Ms Abi Garcia, the very bubbly and energetic PR still greeted me with a smile (phew!).

Here are a few photos that I grabbed from their Facebook Page.

Surprise special guest, 2016 Miss Universe Philippines Maxine Medina, and SkinStation brand ambassadors, Asia's Next Top Model Cycle 4 Julian Flores, GMA7 Talent/ Actress Ms. Lindsay de Vera, 2015 Teen Earth Philippines Aya Fernandez, 2015 Binibining Pilipinas 1st Runner-Up Hannah Sison, and Thomasian Youth Ambassadress 2013 Ferica Medina were all present during the event.

Formerly known as Godiva Skin Station, the popular clinic chain has undergone rebranding to SkinStation under a new corporate ownership, My Sanctuary Wellness Center, Inc. Following the sale of their Godiva skin care business in 2010, founders Fred and Carleen Reyes have formed My Sanctuary Wellness Center, Inc. to run and manage the new and upgraded SkinStation.

Aside from state-of-the art equipment, SkinStation offers DERMAX, An exclusive professional skin care product line. I got the chance to roam around and take a peek of the inside. The overall design of SkinStation branches is tasteful and minimalist to promote relaxation, soothe the senses and calm the mind. I love that big painting on the wall!

It has individual treatment rooms for utmost privacy, courteous and friendly front desk personnel receive clients at the reception area. Doctors are available for consultation and doctor’s services. Help World Vision Children with their Education through 'Bags of Hope'

Nearly one-third of Filipino children are deprived of health care, safe water, clean toilet facilities, decent shelter, nutritious food and education. Almost 4 million Filipino children are classified as out-of-school youth. Numerous reasons contributed to this prevalent problem like insufficient family income, child labour, teen marriage, illness, disability, inaccessibility to schools and high cost of education. Consequently, these factors inhibit the proper learning, development and value formation of a child.

Robinsons Supermarket, Unilever Philippines and World Vision united together and launched the “Bags of Hope” campaign. It aims to help World Vision Kids with their education and their future.

One may be a committed donor through helpful choice by simply buying Bags of Hope pack. One can choose from purchasing Mayonnaise, Ham or Bacon 470ml spreads. Purchase will automatically entitle one to receive a “collectible school bag” which comes in four designs while concurrently giving out school supplies as donations for World Vision Kids to support their education.

Let us intervene and protect the children from further harm. Let us take them away from the streets, dumpsites, quarries, farmlands and construction sites. Let us bring them back to school.

Help transform a child's life through World Vision. Make that helpful choice now!

Goodbye to a Hero

I remember when Gabi used to go to a conventional school two years ago. He needed to cross a bridge with my Auntie (who is also our helper) to and fro school. This is not the main way but this is the easiest way to get there from our house. The bridge was made up of a long metal and a long wood log on the other side. It serves as a shortcut. The place where it will lead you is called "Ibayo", which is a relative's compound. It isn't a public bridge but people may pass giving their donations since it is a private property. The river underneath is an extension of Pasig River where the water is black and during summer, it emits a foul odor. The local government is in the works of rehabilitating it by removing wastes and silting.

Bag of Beans in Tagaytay

June 24, 2016 - A day before my hubby's friends tied the knot, we were invited to dine at Bag of Beans in Tagaytay before checking-in to the Hotel. We were blessed because this was our first time to eat here and it was a treat from them.

"Bag of Beans specializes in gourmet and all-time favorite dishes, freshly-baked breads, home-made recipe pies, well-blended drinks and aromatic freshly-brewed coffee."

We arrived first in the reserved area for our group. We were there before 12:00 NN and while waiting for the others, we got the chance to enjoy the fresh and cool ambience.

I wasn't able to roam around because I have my little one with me. But we have a nice view so that's fine with us. Our friends came in late due to unexpected circumstances but we were able to enjoy the food and the company.

Here's what we ordered:

My son ordered Longanisa, Php 230

Baby Back Ribs for Hubby, Php 475
Grilled Salmon with Mango and Tomato Salsa for me, Php 495
Soup of the Day, Php 150
Blueberry Cheesecake, Php 160
We all love the food we ordered except the soup. We didn't like the sweet taste, it's not the usual soup that we expected. Nonetheless, we are looking forward to pay a visit again. This is one of the "must-go" places in Tagaytay to bring family and friends.

Thanks to our dear friends, Dave and Mimi. May you both love, honor and cherish one another. Most importantly, put God at the center of your marriage. God bless!
