The Manila International Book Fair 2016: Our first!

I really have no plans of going to Manila International Book Fair if not for the Transformed: Mula sa Pagiging Transwoman Book Launch.

I recently bought used good books from our Sister in Christ and I'm trying to control my self from hording books.

We came there on a Saturday afternoon with my boys: hubby and the kiddos. The place was packed with shoppers. There was a long line in the entrance. Good thing we have our tickets printed so no need to line-up for it. I also have a list of books with me that I needed to buy for our homeschooling.

Our first stop was Tahanan Books. The booth was packed so it was hard to check on the items.

Novuhair Supports Alopecia Areata Awareness in Celebrating Inner Strength

September marks the month-long commemoration of Alopecia Areata awareness worldwide. Alopecia areata is a condition when hair loss occur due to faults in the immune system attacking the hair follicles which results in partial or total loss of hair on the head and other parts of the body.

Leading this year’s celebration in the country is Alopecia Philippines, a group founded by singer and songwriter Abby Asistio in 2012. She has been championing the cause of empowering citizens with this condition.

Novuhair Supports Alopecia Areata Awareness

Abby is no stranger to alopecia, having been diagnosed with alopecia areata since she was four years old. Abby’s decision to come out in public with her condition was a major turning point in her life.

On September 2012, Abby decided to start an online campaign in time with Alopecia Awareness Month by inviting family and friends to pose with the double “A” (inverted “V”) sign using their fingers on the photo sharing site, Instagram. It quickly caught on and Abby was overwhelmed by the response from netizens, with over a thousand photo contributions to date.

This paved the way for the beginnings of Alopecia Philippines. It aims to raise awareness about alopecia and correct common misconceptions and perceptions about it, provide encouragement to people afflicted with it, and create an online support community for them.

Novuhair Supports Alopecia Areata Awareness

Inspired by Abby’s honesty and courage, men and women, kids and teens from different walks of life began sharing their own stories and struggles living with alopecia. Cut Costs and Save with Groupon Coupons

This is a sponsored post. All opinions are mine.

Just like I'm a late bloomer when it comes to online shopping, which I shared when I posted about Groupon Goods, I'm also a newbie to couponing. Well, I'm not the "extreme" type but I recently build my stash and It all started when I ventured into blogging.

I got couple of coupons in one of the events I attended. When I checked them at home, I'm like, "What the heck I'm supposed to do with this?”. Little did I know that I'll be able use them in the future. Good thing I didn't just throw them in the trash.

Giving up my corporate job cut a big chunk out of our family income. So we need to be as frugal as possible. We learned delayed gratification and living within our means, or sometimes even below our means. I, for once, need to find ways to save on everyday necessities and reduce some of the costs of it. That's when I saw the advantage of couponing.

Coupons give you discounts on different goods or services. It is becoming increasingly available in this day and age. As a matter of fact, they’re all over the web now and it’s so easy to search on them. It’s like your currency because you’re going to use them like the actual cash. When it comes to first-time trials, it’s best to use coupon before buying it in full price, agree?

Groupon Coupons is very popular because they offer immediate value and savings. Plus you don’t have to pay for a membership or other fees. It’s totally FREE!!!

You can browse for Featured Coupons which gives you huge amount of discounts.

If you have a favorite store, browse coupons by Popular Store.

I love Macy's. I used to roam around here when I was in the US. I love the vast selection of items in the store. Now i'm becoming nostalgic.

You can also browse by Category and by Student Discounts. Pretty cool, isn't it?

Before you shop, be sure to have Groupon Coupon with you. Acquire as many as you can and save a ton! Visit their site to find great deals and cut costs on things you buy.

REVIEW: Christian Gautier Feminine Eau De Parfum for Women

Finding the right perfume is quiet challenging especially with a lot of selections in the market to choose from. In the same way, it is also burdensome deciding on whether to spend greatly on designer perfume brands or opt for a more budget-friendly fragrances.

As for me, i'll go for the latter. In fact, I'm not really a perfume aficionado. I'm good with baby colognes. Most of the time, I prefer light smell which I can wear all day without getting a headache. But it's good to try something new, agree? So, I was happy enough to try this Christian Gautier Feminine Eau De Parfumfor Women sent to me by Lazada few days ago.

Shopping Made Easy with Groupon

This is a sponsored post. All opinions are mine.

If there's one person who introduced me to online shopping, it was my husband. You know how most men hated shopping? Well my husband would rather go online, click and after few days, voila! Purchase is delivered.

When I go for shopping, I make sure that I wear flats and comfy clothes because I know I’ll be in a battle. I’m a frugal person so I consider a lot of things before buying; the price, quality, design and the list goes on.

I remember there were instances in the past where I will go and look for a pair of shoes and it will take me an exhausting four hours searching for the best one within my budget. I usually end up buying things out of frustration. If my husband is generous enough, he will give me additional budget so the search is over.

Online Store

It was only recently when I became a full time Mom that I started appreciating online shopping; I know I’m a late bloomer. Haha. Since we cannot leave the kids alone, we go shopping with them in tow. I have two boys and shopping is like playing tug-of-war or hide-and-seek. Sometimes, it also implies carrying my toddler the entire moment along with the items we purchased. Imagine how hard it is especially when the hubby is not with me.

Good thing you can purchase almost everything online nowadays. If you hop on to Groupon Goods, it's like your one stop shop where you can buy accessories, electronic gadgets, items for your home and pretty much everything in between. Plus, there are so many choices to choose from!

Groupon (NASDAQ: GRPN) is building the daily habit in local commerce, offering a vast mobile and online marketplace where people discover and save on amazing things to do, see, eat and buy. By enabling real-time commerce across local businesses, travel destinations, consumer products and live events, shoppers can find the best a city has to offer.

Groupon not only makes shopping a breeze, it also helps you save money from great deals and huge discounts. Say goodbye to the hustle and bustle of shopping! Now we can relax and shop at the comfort of our house.

Exploring Creation with Astronomy - Experiments and Activities

We're finally done with Exploring Creation with Astronomy. I'm glad that we decided to switch to Apologia Curriculum. This book is in a conversational style making it so appealing to Gabi. The information is quite in-depth and we love the step-by-step instructions for experiments and engaging activities at the end of each lesson.

We did read-aloud before because I want to learn together with Gabi. However, during his free time, he would sneak out and read in advance. So, I'm always left behind. On the latter part of our school year, I decided to let him read alone.

I'd like to share the activities and experiments that we made. If we only have all the resources, we could have done it all, but we just chose the most feasible. You can also check the lapbook that we made for this subject here.
